Hey Cougar Fans,
This is a big week for Cougar Athletics as we kicked off our annual Team Funded fundraiser. I’m sure all of your athletes have sent you the links. With the budget cuts happening throughout CFISD, this is our most important fundraiser in years. Please make sure your student sends it to as many people as possible!
We have a big week coming up!
Volleyball: This Friday, 9/20, is Neon night. We have a huge home game vs Cy Ridge. The game starts at 5:30 and we need a packed house. Free pizza for students starting at 5:15, and we will give out some free t-shirts.
Water Polo: The girls and boys are both undefeated in district play, and are rolling towards our 3rd district championship in a row. Get out to a game at the Natatorium soon! They are fun to watch!
Football: It has been a tough start for the Cougars. We have played one of the toughest schedules in the state, and are a little beat up. These Cougars don’t quit, and they play hard. We have an off week this week, and then district play starts on 9/27 vs Stratford. We need a big crowd to support these kids.
Cross County: We continue to run well! We had several top 5 finishes in our last meet including the overall champion. Districts are coming soon!
Tennis: We continue to battle for that final playoff spot. The toughest part of our schedule is over, and if we can get on a roll, we have a chance at back to back playoff appearances!
