I hope that you all stay safe and dry during this tropical storm coming through.
Football and volleyball are heading into district play, and we have a lot of great things coming up soon! Keep an eye on all of our social media to stay up to date on the latest:
Football:
The Cougars picked up our first win Friday night in a very entertaining 41-40 win over Eisenhower. It was a great back and forth game, and the Cougar defense came up huge with 19 seconds to go in the game. Eisenhower scored to pull within 41-40, and the Cougar defense rose up to make a huge stop on the 2 point conversion to preserve the win.
District play kicks off Saturday the 25th vs Northbrook, and then we have a huge game on 10/1 vs Cy Fair at home for Homecoming.
Volleyball:
The Cougars started district play in style with a dominating 3 set win over Northbrook. The Cougars were set for a showdown Tuesday night vs Cy Fair, but that will have to wait as all district events have been postponed tomorrow night.
The Cougars will host Cy Ridge this Friday at 5:30. It will be a great game so come out and support the Cougars!
Cross Country:
The Cougar cross country teams are posting very good times this year! The boys won the BFND classic at Cy Fair last weekend, and have several runners looking to qualify for regionals this year!
Upcoming Events:
Friday 9/24 – Neon Night at Volleyball. This is a huge home game vs Stratford, and the Cougar volleyball program will all be in neon! We will have pizza to pass out to the students, and a student drawing for a Dick’s gift card. This is going to be a lot of fun so get out and support the Cougars.
Monday 9/27 – Homecoming Week Kickoff at Swanny’s – We will be at Swanny’s at 6 PM to kickoff homecoming week. Come out and have a great time with Cougar fans as we get ready to take on Fair Friday night.
Friday 10/1 – Homecoming! We will send off the team prior to the game from the Cy Creek parking lot. We will have food, t-shirts, a gift card drawing, and a great time before heading over to Pridgeon to watch the Cougars take on Cy Fair. Watch our social media for additional details.
