A Letter from The President – 4/18/2022

Hello Cougar Fans!

I apologize that this update comes a little late! It has been an amazing couple of weeks for Cougar athletics:

Boys Soccer:
It was a historic finish for the Cougar soccer team. The boys went all the way to the regional finals, and lost a heartbreaker 3-2 in overtime to Seven Lakes. The Cougars played amazing soccer all year, and dominated Strake Jesuit 4-0 before losing in the regional final. Congrats to all of the soccer players, coaches, and parents for a great year.

Boys Golf:
The boys are heading to regionals for the 2nd year in a row. We finished 2nd in district, and will play this week for a chance at a 2nd consecutive trip to state. The regionals are this Wednesday and Thursday. Good luck to the Cougars!!

Boys and Girls Track:
We had so many district champions this year on both the boys and girls teams, and a lot of athletes who qualified for the area meet. We have highlighted each of the individuals on twitter, and will have something out shortly on facebook. The Cougars had a great year, and will be well represented at the area meet!

Softball:
This is a huge week for softball. We play at memorial Tuesday, and then finish the regular season Friday at home. Friday night at 6:30 is neon night, and there will be free pizza for the students. It is also senior night. There are 4 teams all within a game of each other battling for the last 3 playoff spots. If we win both, we are guaranteed a spot, and if we split, there is a great chance we get in.

Baseball:
It has been a great turnaround season for the Cougars. With 4 games left, we sit at 5-5 in district play. We host Memorial Tuesday night, and we need a great crowd out to support the Cougars. The final home game of the year is 4/29 against Jersey Village, and a playoff berth could be on the line. It will be a pizza night for the students so let’s get a great crowd out to support!

Thank you all for your amazing support. We are looking forward to a strong finish to the year!
