Hello Everyone!
It is the busiest time of the year for Cougar athletics, and we are having a lot of success! There are some great opportunities to get out and support!
Boys Soccer:
The 17-6A district champion Cougars dominated Westside in the opening round playoff game. We play in the area round tonight at 7:30 at Pridgeon against Cinco Ranch. This should be a great matchup! We need a big home crowd to support the Cougars.
Girls Soccer:
The girls made their 2nd playoff appearance in a row. We lost 2-1 in the first round to Bellaire in a very competitive matchup. It was another great season for the ladies.
Baseball:
Baseball has started district play 2-2. We have a huge series starting tonight at home against Cy Ridge. It is going to be a tight playoff race this year. Tonight’s game is sponsored by Stacked Pickle so we will have some great coupons out there. Make sure to check them out at 6944 FM 1960. They have great food, and it’s a great place to watch a game.
Softball:
The Cougars have a big game tonight at Jersey Village. This is the last game of the first round of district. The Cougars are 1 game behind the Falcons for 3rd place in district so this will have a big impact on the playoff race.
Golf:
The ladies are playing in their district matches today and tomorrow, while the boys play Wednesday and Thursday. The boys are looking for a return trip to regionals and to state. Both the ladies and boys districts will be very competitive.
Track:
Our track teams are having great seasons, and are putting up great times. Make sure to follow us on Twitter for all of the individual achievements. We have a lot of athletes who are running great times, and doing very well in the field events.
Tennis:
Tennis is finishing up their spring season this week. Follow us on twitter for updates.
Water Polo:
The girls are having a dominant season as they are undefeated so far. The boys are also playing very well. Both teams will make a run at a state championship again. If you haven’t been to a water polo game, check one out. It is a great sport, and the Cougars have a great program.
