The Cougars started district play against state ranked #3 Stratford. While we were defeated in 3 sets, the Cougars saw many positives from the match. We blocked well, and were able to finish points against the Spartan front line that boasts one of the tallest in the state at 6β5, 6β3, and 6β1.
The Cougars carried the momentum into a 3 set win on the road at Cy Falls on Tuesday night. The Cougars closed the match in dominant fashion with a 25-9 3rd set win.
The Cougars will look to deliver some revenge on the Rams Friday night. Last year, the Rams clinched a playoff spot and eliminated the Cougars on our home floor in a thrilling match to end the season.
The Cougars have set making the playoffs as the end goal for the season, and can take a big step with a win Friday night.
