Cougar Sports Update – September 2026

Hey Cougar Fans!

We have several sports going now, and I want to give you all an update!

Water Polo:
Both the girls and boys are looking for our 4th straight district championships! Both teams are 1-0 in district.

Overall, the girls are 9-5-1 and the boys are 11-5. Both teams are playing very difficult schedules to prepare for a district run.

Tennis:
We are 1-1 in district play, and have a big match with Fair on Tuesday.

Volleyball:
The girls are 11-12 and and have one more non-district game at Conroe before our first district hame Friday at Cy Ridge. We are going to have a tight race to the playoffs this year so make sure to come support the ladies. They have played very well in our home matches.

Football:
The Cougars dropped our season opener at Morton Ranch Saturday night. We return to action Friday at Magnolia West. Early season games are typically a learning experience. Due to UIL heat rules, the Cougars have spent a lot of our practice time inside. We showed signs defensively last night, and I expect the offense will make big strides next week.
