Hello Cougar Fans!
I hope you all had a great spring break! Spring sports are going strong at Creek as it is the busiest time of the year.
Girls Basketball:
The ladies finished up an amazing season with a tough loss in the state championship game to Desoto. The Cougars finished the season at 32-1 and were 73-2 over the last 2 seasons. The Cougars started strong in the state championship game jumping out to an early lead, but Desoto chipped away and eventually took the lead just before the half. The Cougars fought hard, but the length of Desoto was too much for the Cougars to overcome. What an incredible run for the Cougars!!
Girls Soccer:
They did it!! The Cougars wrapped up a playoff spot finishing 3rd in the district. We were in the race for the district championship until the last week of the season. The playoff game should be set within the next day or so. The Cougars have played great all year, and we are excited to see what they can do in the playoffs! Congrats to the players, coaches, and parents on a great regular season!!
Boys Soccer:
The boys started slow in district and made a big push in the 2nd half of the regular season, but fell just short of a playoff birth. Memorial was able to pull out a tie with the Cougars to secure the final spot in the playoffs. Still, it was a great run by the Cougars to get back in the playoff race after the slow start. The Cougars showed a lot of fight all season long!
Softball:
The Cougars are off to a 4-0 start in district including beating Cy Ridge 25-0, which gave Coach Kight his 400th win as a Coach! What an amazing accomplishment! The Cougars were off for spring break, and will pick up district play Tuesday at Stratford in a very important game. The team is an offensive powerhouse so make sure to get out and support them in their playoff push!
Baseball
The Cougars started district play 2-0 with a sweep of Northbrook over spring break. The Cougars played very well in both games with quality pitching and timely hitting. The Cougars face a very good Cy Fair team this week so it will be a big challenge. It is going to be a tight race for the playoffs this year so let’s get out and support the Cougars.
Track and Golf are also in full swing right now. As I receive updates, I will pass them on, but make sure to follow us on Twitter.
Thank you for all of your support!!
Go Cougars!
