A Letter from The President – 12/25/2021

Hello Cougar Fans!

Merry Christmas and Happy Holiday season to all of you! I hope you have a great time with family and friends during this season! Thank you for all of your support this year!

It has been a great first semester for Cougar athletics. Cougar athletes have been successful in many different sports as well as in the classroom!

Girls basketball is off to a 3-0 start in district play, including a win over #6 state ranked and preseason district favorite, Memorial. The Cougars aren’t going anywhere, and are looking to win the district for the 3rd straight season and 4th time in 5 years. They head to Mansfield after Christmas break for a tournament, and then get back to district play in January.

Boys basketball started district play 1-0 with a dominating win over Memorial. The district is wide open this year with probably 4 different teams who could all win a championship. The Cougars are looking for a 2nd straight district championship. It’s going to be a great race.

Wrestling is off to a great start. Several athletes are finishing top 5 in meets, and also bringing home championships. If you’ve never been to a wrestling match, make sure to check one out.

Both soccer teams have had their first scrimmages, and are ready to kick off their seasons in January. The girls are looking for a return trip to the playoffs, and the boys are hungry after just missing out on the playoffs last year.

And finally, baseball and softball both have tryouts in January. Both teams will have new head coaches this year. Softball will look to defend their district championship after losing many seniors, and baseball is looking for a bounce back season! We will have updates as the seasons get going!

Thank you again for all of the support! Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all of you! Looking forward to a great 2022!!

Ahh CC!
