Hi All,
Happy February! It is the busiest time of year for Cougar athletics, and we have a lot of great things going on! Here are some updates for you:
Boys Basketball:
The boys are currently ranked #16 in the state. We are 11-1 in district play. Senior night is Friday night at 7 PM at Creek. If the Cougars win, we clinch at least a tie for the district championship. We need everyone out at Creek Friday night!
Girls Basketball:
The girls are back in the playoffs for the 6th consecutive year! We won our last 6 games to finish 10-4, and clinch 2nd in district play. Our first playoff game is Monday night at 7 PM at Delmar. Let’s show up, and help the Cougars get a playoff win.
Golf:
The boys golf team is back in action and looking for a 3rd straight trip to state. We have played very well in early season events as we get ready for districts.
Boys Soccer:
The boys are off to a 3-1-1 start in district play. We are the defending 17-6A champions, and we are going to be in the mix again this year. The next home game is Friday night at 7:30 PM
Girls Soccer:
The girls are again in the fight for a playoff spot for the 4th year in a row! We are currently 1-1-2 in district play, and our next home game is 2/14 at 7:15.
Track:
Both the boys are girls start track season this Friday at Cy Falls. We are going to be very exciting this year, and have a lot of athletes with regional and state potential. Make sure to follow us on twitter for meet updates
Softball:
Softball season starts next week! We host Cy Falls for the home opener on 2/13 at 6 PM. The Cougars are looking to get back to the playoffs for the 5th time in the last 6 years!
Baseball
Baseball is also starting very soon. The Cougars return a lot of talent from last year’s team, and are looking to get back into the playoffs this year. The home opener is 2/28 at 6:30 PM.
